ILA WALLEN

Ila Wallen has an extensive background in original intellectual property development and public speaking. Beginning her career at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Ila worked in syndicated television development in reality programming. She then went to work in Production, as an associate producer on game shows such as The Newlywed Game, The Dating Game and Pyramid. She became Director of Development for Wallen Davidson Productions and was responsible for developing and producing specials and series for broadcast and non-broadcast clientele.

At the same time, she entered the world of publishing and is the co-creator and author of the Willowbe Woods Campfire Series, published by Random House. Her first title, the Moon In My Room, was nominated for the Ben Franklin award for Best New Fiction. Ila has been on a nationwide tour for the book series, and is a frequent guest speaker at schools and festivals. Series titles are:

Currently, Ila works as Director of Development for an independent production company with a clientele list including The History Channel, National Geographic, VH1, Disney, and the Discovery Networks. Her job consists of creating, developing and selling original reality and documentary programming. She has also taught children’s publishing and story development at Art Center College of Design and provides consulting for intellectual property development.
