ONLINE EVENTS
To all attendees in EAA online classes and events:
Entertainment Art Academy uses WebEx for its online education programs. The schedule of our growing list of classes and events can be found at: entertainmentartacademy.webex.com
When you have been registered in EAA’s online programs, you will receive an email that offers:
- A hyperlink to enter the online classroom
- the password to the event
- the TOLL FREE phone number that enters the audio portion of the event.
You can also enter an event by going to the site mentioned above and enter your name and password.
Basically, you can hear the instructor and ask questions through the phone. Your computer is an interactive television to education from some of the best artists in the world.
We recommend using Firefox as your browser. All browsers work but Firefox seems the most reliable.
EAA’s online is CROSS PLATFORM. You can use a Mac or a PC computer.
You MUST have a high speed internet connection.

This four hour workshop, hosted by acclaimed digital fantasy illustrator Jeff Nentrup will cover the major stages of an illustration job. Starting with a concept brief we will cover the design process, digital painting techniques and ultimately how to finish an image. The relationship between art director and illustrator can be an art itself. An illustrator must satisfy the needs of the client while challenged to create a memorable image for the masses. |

Dean Yeagle has worked in most every capacity in the animation industry, and has his own production company in NY; he's also illustrated children's books and designed corporate characters, and is at work on a comic book trilogy for Disney/Dark Horse. For the past 7 years he's contributed regular gag cartoons to Playboy Magazine, which has led to self-published sketchbooks and a pinup-girl character, Mandy, Dean will attempt to make sense of this varied career, and demonstrate how one can turn a career drawing puppies and bunnies into one drawing...well, Bunnies. |

In this lecture, the mechanics of Film Design will be discussed. Through a series of quick demos Sam Michlap will cover, in depth, his ideas about the use composition and the power of dramatic lighting and color to help tell the right story and emotion. Topics include: Thumbnail sketches in both value and color, composition exercises to help pick just the right angle and point of view for the story moment and how to use different techniques to say the most with each illustration..Demos will include digital painting, markers and traditional paint. |
