TREVOR GORING

Trevor Goring was born in 1952, in Birmingham, England, the homeland of many comic book creators. In high school he produced a fanzine called Seminar. In college he co-published a comic book magazine, UNK. Underground publisher, H. Bunch, released the second issue as View From the Void.

Trevor’s post-graduate work in illustration was completed with his thesis, The Language of the Comic Strip. After college Trevor illustrated romance and war comics. In 1974 he went to work for the British comic, 2000 AD. In 1978, the BBC asked him to illustrate the children’s TV series, Captain Zep. Two years and many Zep scripts later, Trevor moved into advertising art. After 4 years at Domino Studios, he helped form Helicopter Studios, London, which gave starts to many talented artists.

In 1991 Trevor came to Hollywood and has since storyboarded more than 40 feature films, including Independence Day, Final Fantasy, Mighty Joe Young, Gattaca, the Cell, Fantastic Four, X-Men2, and Hundred-Year Winter. He also continued to work on comic books--Star Trek, Pantera, and Ring of Roses-- and is now completing his own project, Waterloo Sunset (Image Comics: July 2004) with writer Andrew Stephenson.

Trevor is a partner in Electric Spaghetti Comics, a company that helps talent from film, TV, and advertising to produce, promote, and find publishers for their entry into the amazing and creatively unlimited world of comics.
